'A' Level Art Exhibition 2014

The Art Department were able to celebrate the work of 15 Art students this year on Friday 13th June 2014 by holding an A Level Art Exhibition.  The students produced two bodies of work Unit 1—Coursework Unit — Students produce a portfolio of work from both teacher led and self-directed starting points. The focus is on including work that shows exploration, research, acquisition of techniques and skills. This is worth 50% of final A Level Grade. The coursework units explores a variety of themes. The work must show exploration and experimentation of a range of techniques. Unit 2 – Examination Project — Students select one starting point from an early release question paper. Students are to be given 6 weeks (half a term) in which to plan and prepare. 5 hour exam for year 12 or 15 hour exam for year 13, where you can either develop a piece of work or produce a final piece. This is worth 50 % of final A Level grade.  We hope you enjoy seeing some of their amazing art work here:
